Rooted in centuries of culture and symbolism, Japanese traditional tattooing, irezumi is a style defined by bold outlines, rich black shading, and vibrant color. The art follows a strong set of rules: flowing compositions, careful placement, and the use of traditional motifs like koi fish, dragons, tigers, and peonies, each carrying deep meaning.
I have a deep respect for the traditions and discipline behind irezumi. While I’m still growing in this style, I’m passionate about honoring its roots and continuing to expand my art through it.
